About Bama Sound Media
We are Bama Sound — the band that writes books.
Music, stories, and visuals aren’t separate here; they’re parts of the same voice. We bring musicians, authors, and artists together under one multimedia umbrella, creating stories that move between sound, words, and visuals. We make music to deepen our books, write books to expand our music, and create videos and audiobooks to connect it all into a single creative world.
Human made. Human played.
The Reclusive Author
Little is known about author Sir Carlton Lawrence. It is rumored he was born in Bermuda and now resides somewhere in the sparsely populated Lake District of northwestern England. He is said to spend several months each year living alone in a modest villa in the Cumbrian Mountains, where he can occasionally be seen fishing or walking his dogs.
Reclusive or not, Lawrence fiercely protects his privacy and routinely declines interview requests. His published works include King of Drones, a fact-based fictional narrative interwoven with real events unfolding in the Russia–Ukraine war, and The Age of Ausra, a speculative work exploring societal collapse, myth, and transformation in the wake of global upheaval.
Rick Hansen of Bama Sound spent his early childhood years with Lawrence on the island of Bermuda. The two later reconnected to collaborate remotely on Hansen’s novella The Pi Kappa Phi Killer. Lawrence also provides editorial guidance on other literary projects produced by Bama Sound Media.
