.M4B How-To
Importing M4B files into popular audiobook players is typically straightforward, though the exact process can vary depending on the app. Here’s how to do it in some of the most commonly used audiobook players.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Audible does not allow the importing of 3rd party M4B or MP3 files into their audiobook player. You must use an alternative audiobook app or music player for our releases if you are an Audible subscriber. We have listed the most popular alternatives below along with import instructions for our M4B files.
Another option would be to purchase the audiobook in the MP3 format. This will work in nearly all music players, a dedicated audiobook app is not required. Just refer to the MP3 How-To page for import instructions. The downsides with MP3 are the inability to set bookmarks and no built-in chapter navigation, but the chapters are separated into discrete files contained in the included playlist.
